I am Lauren, a freelance writer with a unique combination of passions from nursing, sailing and living life on the water.

In 2015 I qualified as a Nursing and Midwifery Council Registered Adult Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Adult Nursing. I have worked in a broad range of areas but I have specialised my expertise whilst working as a Senior Sister on an Intestinal Failure Unit where I developed an interest in gut health.

Being outside is incredibly important to me and protecting our planet and oceans is something I take great pride in. I am a qualified Royal Yachting Association Day Skipper and plan to set sail anti clockwise around the UK leaving in April 2021 with my partner Adam and our dog Freddy.
