Digital Nomad Photo Shoot & Travel Tips in Sayulita, Mexico

by Lauren Williams |  | 1 comment

As charter flight options open up, Sayulita has officially earned its spot on Mexico’s Pacific laid back bohemian coastline. This sunshine drenched coast is proving increasingly popular with digital nomads from around the globe who are creating a life in harmony with the ocean waves.

We ventured to the hippy chic coastal town for an adventure photoshoot with friend and contributor Andre Babiak Photography & Designs to experience this hidden gem for ourselves.

Sayulita is right in the heart of the Riviera Nayarit and offers you 15 spectacular surf breaks to choose from - it’s no surprise that this area is home to the majority of Mexico’s surfing team. The long stretch of powdered coastline is loaded with reefs, point breaks and also a number of beginner friendly spots so there really is something for everyone.  If you want to go  for something a little more laid back you could opt for paddleboarding instead. You might even be able to witnesses the most important annual SUP competition in the world as Sayulita hosts the World Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboarding Championship (WSUPPC).

If you are looking for somewhere to refuel after a day on the ocean don’t worry as you won’t have to travel too far until you come across some of the best street food on offer in Mexico - fresh fruit, sizzling tacos and fragrant chicken are just a few to choose from. Just a 5 minute walk from the beach you will find Mercado del Pueblo which offer over 80 vendors selling local, organic and sustainable food and products to the people of Sayulita.

Once the afternoon starts to fade the suns glow is swapped for candle light at the popular beach shacks and bars. This delivers an authentic, laid back vibe and provide the perfect spot to sample a few cocktails made with local tequila. It’s true that the party never stops in Sayulita but it’s not over crowded beach parties you will find as the offerings come paired with a laid back tropical vibe where you dance the night away under the moonlight.
